Lyric Quiz Friday Number 433, The Suitcase-Packing Edition Friday, Jul 29 2011

Here’s the thing about music – it can catch you and throw you off your guard when you least expect it.  Songs you used to hate, you grow to appreciate; songs that were once your favorite become as tired as your first pair of Keds.  And then there are the songs that can still stop you in your tracks and make you smile or conjure a memory, no matter where you are or what you’re experiencing.  So, I’m just waxing poetic and nostalgic here because the hodgepodge of 10 songs below … are totally random and I don’t even like any of them that much.  Except for number 6.  Always a winner.  Happy Friday, everyone.

So this week I bring you 20 lyrics to guess, but there’s a catch.  There are 20 different songs quoted below, but only 10 titles.  So the songs are in scattered pairs, such as Love Song (The Cure and Tesla) only not that example, because what fun would that be?  Have fun, everyone, and try to stay cool.

To quote the imitable Rebecca Black, “It’s Friday!”  And I am tired with little creativity for banter.  Have fun with the quiz, y’all, and stay cool. It’s tricky to rock a rhyme to rock a rhyme that’s right on time, it’s tricky.
